Pirate's Booty: Fruity Booty

Hello,

So this is something that I came across when I was shopping at the 99 Cent Only Store. They have these on some occasions, though it isn't consistent. Fruity Booty is shaped like the regular Pirate Booty, but it has a raspberry and corn puff taste. It is sweet and satisfying. I wasn't disappointed. It tasted so good I thought of making it into a cereal and added soy milk. It made a terrible combination. The fruity booty became soggy instantly. Shucks. Well they are still good.

Marvel Chewy Granola Bars

Hello reader,

These are some of the most appealing packaged granola bars I have ever laid my eyes on. The package comes with a special cut out card, and there is also a character on every bar wrapper. The packaging is done in the Silver Age style of comics, and we get to see the John Romita version of Spider-Man, which is one of my favorite renditions. 

But with all of this hype, does the taste of the bar match the hype? Sadly not. I thought the bar had a flat and insipid taste. There were chocolate chips, and quite frankly they tasted to dry. The whole bar tasted dry. Buy this if you enjoy the art, but not for the flavor.

Yache Teriyaki Brown Rice Bowl!

Hello Readers,

This rice bowl had a great flavor. For all of you that are gluten intolerant, this is a gluten free product you can enjoy. No MSG and it's vegan.

 It says to leave this thing with water or cooking for five minutes. I suggest you do it longer, or the rice will still be hard. Take a bite first if you aren't sure. 

The sauce has a great flavor in my opinion. Sea salt instead of sodium chloride alone. Not too bad.

Gourmet Best Pear Slices

Hello y'all,

Today we have an important taste test. These pears are swarming in water and sugar, one would think that they would taste naturally sweet, yes? Well they do, but not as good as a regular fresh, raw pear. They seem lacking in the taste department, and they are somewhat dry in texture. A bit hard, too. I didn't enjoy them. Maybe you will.

As you can see, the drink is 50% pom, and 30% pineapple. It has a good flavor, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a healthy drink. The taste of the pomegranate is still overpowering the pineapple, though.

Level Life is a bit better than the Life Choice bars, but much saltier. Too salty for my taste. It is more of a meal replacement. The taste is passing, but nowhere near as good as a Snicker. It was a bit bland to me. Especially to be sugary.

Life Choice bars is for those of you out there that are gluten intolerant or just don't want it. It's made of fruit and nuts and grain. I feel it has a good taste, but it crumbles apart too easily. It is very sticky. The taste makes up for it, but wheat and granola is much better in my opinion.

Cap'n Crunch's Halloween Crunch: Limited Edition!

Hello my lovely readers,


 So today I wanted to share with you what I had for dinner. Breakfast for dinner, you see. In the form of cereal. But not just cereal, the most wonderful kind: holiday themed. Usually when you get a cereal that is holiday themed, you can expect new flavors or something to that extent. Also, the colors will coincidence with the given holiday, so there is that. The box says when the milk hits the ghosts, the milk turns green. Evidently this is some sort of necroplasmic goo, ghost guts. I'm just kidding. It's just carcinogens that will give you cancer slowly, but surely over time.

So I don't know about you, but I don't have any animal milk on hand at the moment. So let's hope the same effect is possible with Suzie's quinoa drink. Which happens to be healthy and stuff. Isn't that awesome?

Okay, two minutes later and my cereal has become a cesspool of green gunk. It tastes good, like regular Cap'n Crunch, yum. I haven't had this stuff in years. The quinoa drink is also very smooth, with no starchy taste like soy milk or almond milk. 9/10 bones for Cap'n and 8/10 bones for Suzie.

Lemongrass Tea & Honey

Hello dear readers,

As you can see I have a package of lemongrass tea. Appropriately named, because after tasting it I could detect the flavor of lemon and lime, which was very refreshing in my opinion. This is my first time ever tasting it. I will say it is good, but the flavor isn't my favorite. Not as good as peppermint to me.

Citral, the main chemical component that is in lemongrass is antimicrobial. That makes it effect for destroying microorganism. The component also has anti fungal properties.


The honey is from a company named Honey Farms. It has a good flavor, but it isn't the best honey I have tried. Make sure it's light in color if you want it to be sweet. The darker it is, the more bitter it will be. 

Honey's properties are already becoming more well known. It is antibacterial and anti fungal. It helps reduce cough and throat irritation. Some variations of honey are even known to be probiotic.

Together, the tea and honey went well. 

7/10 Bones awarded.

Everything was purchased at the 99 cent only store, with my own money.
